Jeep Launches New Concept Vehicles in Moab

Jeep has made Moab an annual showcase for their new 4wd performance concepts, bringing a quiver of Mopar accessorized machines for the media and customers to ogle and drool over. This year was no exception and a few of the vehicles were of particular interest to Expedition Portal. Here are our favorites.

Grand Cherokee:

Fitted with a two-inch suspension and all-terrain tires, this Quadra-Drive II Grand Cherokee shows what is possible with the new platform. We have some time in this new truck and the drivetrain impresses, but the vehicle with coils lack sufficient running ground clearance. This package addresses that issue and still looks classy.

JK-8:

Starting with an Unlimited Rubicon, Mopar designed and retails a kit that converts the vehicle to a small pick-up. The fitment looks good and provides an interesting solution for those looking a newer version of the Brute.

Christian got the overlanding bug back in the 1990s when working in and exploring West Africa, and it never left since. He has been involved with Expedition Portal and Overland Journal since the early days and has seen the market grow and explod in the last few years. When he is not snowboarding or mountain biking, he is browsing the Internet to bring you the best overland vehicles on the plantet - here on Expo and on Instagram.
