Video of the Week :: End of the World Rig

Gordon Clement from Gordofromearth might just be a genius and will be one of the few survivors of a Zombie Apocalypse.

His 2003 International BlueBird school bus conversion into an overland rig is astounding. The rig is enormous (36.5-feet long) yet completely functional and, yes, cool. He has managed to master every element on his rig, and although he won’t be hitting any serious trails or traversing through the very narrow streets of any Central American country, Gordon has managed to make his overland rig completely off-grid. The rig is adaptable and, when needed, is equipped with a workshop on the flat bed area, complete with a homemade crane. This might not be one of the most elegant builds out there, but it will stop you in your tracks once you spot it.

Luisa Bell has always had a passion for travel, but she never imagined that she would travel the world, with her family, in a self-built Land Rover Defender camper. As the navigator, administrator, and penetrator of bureaucracy, she has led her family to over 65 countries on five continents. Luisa is the wife of Graeme, and their quarter-century together feels like a full century in overlander years. Her two kids and her dog are her pride and joy, and if she could travel with them indefinitely, she would. With a background in immigration law, she has the ability to make the impossible possible and has no plan of settling down or retiring her full-time traveler status.
