Hunter RMV Unveils the Isuzu Predator XLE 4×4

Hunter RMV, the Nevada-based builder known for its rugged, custom off-road expedition vehicles, has introduced a new model designed to combine long-range off-grid capability with luxury living and extensive gear-hauling capacity. The new Isuzu Predator XLE 4×4 is the latest addition to Hunter’s lineup, built to handle remote travel while offering all the comforts of a well-appointed home. The walk-through from cab to cabin is the first hint that this is a proper overland vehicle built with world travel in mind.

Based on the 2024 Isuzu FTR MT3 chassis, the Predator XLE is a purpose-built vehicle engineered for serious overland use. Measuring 30 feet long and 12 feet, 7 inches tall, the vehicle is fitted with a Cummins B6.7-liter turbo diesel engine, producing 260 horsepower and 660 pound-feet of torque. Paired with an Allison 6-speed automatic transmission, the drivetrain includes a 2-speed air-shift transfer case and Meritor MX17-140 front drive axle, enabling true four-wheel-drive performance on demanding terrain. A 100-gallon fuel tank offers a range of up to 1,000 miles between fill-ups; 10 MPG is perfectly respectable for such a large truck; we have driven a Range Rover Classic that used as much fuel.

The Predator’s foundation is strengthened by a four-point articulating subframe that supports the 22-foot box, designed to allow flex during off-road travel while preserving structural integrity. Eighteen feet of this space is devoted to living quarters, while the remaining 4 feet serve as a configurable garage that can be outfitted to suit a wide range of activities—from carrying motorcycles (yes, please) and tools to serving as secure storage for hunting equipment or additional sleeping quarters.

Designed to be lived in full-time or used for extended expeditions, the interior offers a range of amenities more often seen in luxury RVs than off-road trucks. Features include a queen-size electric lift bed positioned above a large leather dinette, a washer/dryer unit, a dry bathroom with a composting toilet, and a large separate shower.

The galley includes an induction cooktop, microwave, and dual fridge/freezers. The entire system is powered by over 1,000 watts of solar energy, feeding into an 800 amp-hour lithium battery bank managed by a Victron control system.

Climate control is provided by a Truma diesel system and a Dometic A/C unit, making the vehicle suitable for all-season use. We appreciate the flow and finish of this well-appointed interior; it looks like a peaceful and comfortable haven you would look forward to retreating to after a long, hard day on the trail.

Water storage is another key consideration, with a 110-gallon freshwater tank and a heated 35-gallon gray water tank. Ventilation is handled through opening windows, roof fans, and a skylight with an escape hatch. All lighting is LED, including diffused and accent options throughout the interior.

Externally, the Predator XLE is equipped with a roof rack with integrated lighting, a slide-out step platform, an electric awning, and underslung steel storage boxes. The spare tire is mounted externally and can be accessed using a built-in winch. Outdoor cooking is supported by both Traeger and Blackstone grills, offering practical solutions for meal prep at camp. Off-road capability is further enhanced by the inclusion of a central tire inflation system, an optional electric recovery winch, and robust 425/65R 22.5 Michelin tires mounted on aluminum wheels.

Hunter RMV has priced the Predator XLE starting at $600,000, with a list of optional upgrades, including Starlink internet, a Garmin Overlander system, a front winch, additional solar capacity, and upgraded seating. The truck is also supported by Isuzu’s factory warranty and parts network, offering peace of mind to buyers planning global or long-term travel.
