Their timing could not be better as Rivian recently unveiled three new vehicles, the R2, R3, and R3X, and the brand is currently trending across our news feeds. Hopefully, we will be seeing Front Runner racks for the new models launched soon.
Constructed from high-density aluminum, the Rivian-specific roof rack kits are engineered to deliver maximum strength and durability while remaining lightweight. The rack’s modular design facilitates customization, accommodating over 55 Front Runner rack accessories to cater to diverse Rivian-based adventures. Front Runner offers two configurations for the Rivian R1T. The Slimline II Roof Rack Kit includes a full-size cargo roof rack measuring 53.5 inches in length. The Slimline II Load Bed Roof Rack Kit for R1T, 53 inches long, sits above the truck bed and provides ample cargo-carrying capacity. For the Rivian R1S, the Slimline II Roof Rack Kit is 85.3 inches long to accommodate larger loads.
Key features of these roof rack kits include their versatile design and straightforward installation process, requiring no drilling thanks to compatibility with existing factory mounting points. Each kit comes complete with all necessary components for installation, including detailed instructions. Some of us might be tempted to skip the instructions, but from experience, this is not recommended. The foot rails of these roof rack kits are designed with integrated openings, allowing for the storage of compatible gear beneath the rack, such as Front Runner tables.
