2023 Ram 2500 w/ Norweld Tray and Four Wheel Campers Hawk :: Featured Classified

Ram 2500

In recent years, the popularity of full-size pickups has exploded, and for good reason. Executive Publisher Scott Brady states, “When we first started Overland Journal, the compact pickup was by far the most popular choice for overlanding, but that gap is quickly narrowing with full-size variants. The reason is simple—big trucks are more capable than ever before, and they have the payload to haul more than a few passengers and a basket of groceries.” In the past, these bigger vehicles were more expensive to run and more cumbersome to drive, but today these margins are often nonexistent, and in some cases, full-size pickups are outperforming their mid-size counterparts. There’s no shortage of compelling options within the segment, but the Ram 2500/3500 continues to be the darling of the aftermarket community, and it’s not hard to see why. With its heavy-duty 4WD system, solid axles, Cummins diesel motor, considerable payload and towing capacity, and plush cab interior, it delivers above and beyond what we expect from an overland platform. To this end, cue today’s low-mileage 2023 Ram 2500 (35,000 miles), which boasts top-tier upgrades, a Norweld Tray, and is topped with a well-appointed Four Wheel Campers Hawk. In the original listing, the seller discloses that it would cost more than $200,000 to recreate this rig, which means this package represents impressive value at $137,000. Further still, it’s a fraction of what you’d pay for an off-the-shelf alternative from any of the notable builders and is available now with no lead time. So if you’re looking for a four-season, turnkey-ready rig to hit the road in 2026, this is a great choice.

Ram 2500From the Seller:

Where do you start on a rig like this? By telling you where it can take you? All of the things I put into the build to make it unique? How much I spent? Let’s take it from the top. The platform that underpins the build is a 2023 Ram 2500 turbo-diesel, which mates seamlessly with the Norweld flatbed and Four-Wheel Campers’ Hawk. This rig is turnkey. In fact, it just got back from a 5-month trip through Canada, and it still has less than 35,000 miles. The 49-gallon fuel tank enables you to travel longer, and the Ram rides like a dream. The versatile storage drawers within the flatbed stow lots of gear and ensure everything is close to hand when needed (there’s also plenty of storage inside the camper). I unfortunately need to let it go to a happy home as I set my sights on a major move and a different life stage.
