Forum Migration to Xenforo

Fellow adventurers!

We are migrating our community forum from vBulletin to Xenforo on 25 March, 2018 (tonight).

Back in 2005, I fumbled my way through installing vBulletin and started a labor of love with expeditionportal.com. We have since changed servers and versions (of vBulletin) many times with the goal of continuing to improve performance and security. During the past 12 years, the Expedition Portal (ExPo) forum has grown to become one of the largest overland communities in the world. For our team to provide the best service into the future, this migration to Xenforo is critical.

This will result in 6-8 hours of downtime and a modest change in the way the forum looks and functions. This is a different forum platform that provides far better security and functionality. We apologize if things look out of place—Xenforo has become the forum software of choice for most communities.

You will need to log in with your current credentials that you used on expeditionportal.com with vBulletin. Tapatalk will be down for a few days until reinstalled and tested.

Our team will be standing by to provide as much help as possible.

Thank you for the continued support and we will see you on the other side.

Here is a preview of what the new forum software looks like. It looks a lot like the old one (grin).
