We have all been waiting impatiently for Expedition Overland (aka X Overland) to release their latest offering, The Nordic Series. As we have come to expect from Clay Croft and his team, the series offers a compelling combination of top-tier cinematography, storytelling, and a profound sense of wonder and adventure.
Clay Croft, CEO of X Overland said,
“Our family has generational roots in Norway, and we have long wanted to visit where our ancestors sailed from so many decades ago. Many of our long-time viewers have also wanted to explore the region, and we are excited that they can come along with us through ‘The Nordic Series.’ We know they won’t be disappointed as we showcase this spectacular corner of our planet.”
The latest season takes place in the remote mountainous and glacial terrain of Norway, Sweden, Finland, the Faroe Islands, and Iceland. While Scandinavia is not typically regarded as a “classic” overland destination, the region offers terrain and scenery that this professional, motivated, and experienced team brings to life skillfully. A highlight of the X Overland films are the highly-capable 2015 Toyota 4Runner, 2021 Toyota Tacoma, and 2022 Toyota Tundra built in-house by the X Overland team.
For much of this season, Clay, Rachelle, and Cyrus Croft are joined by Caroline, Peter, and Dan van Stralen of Epic Family Road Trip, Kurt Williams from Cruiser Outfitters as well as Tanner Johnson and Ashley and Richard Giordano of Overland Journal, and Desk to Glory fame (Tanner and Ashley joined the team for the Iceland leg of the journey).
The 10-part series debuts on Overlander Network on February 9 and YouTube on March 9.
