Picture yourself with dust on your skin, a campfire blazing, partaking in an excellent conversation with a like-minded adventurer in a location so far from the beaten track that you had to earn the cold drink in your hand. The only distant light to be seen is galactic. This is an experience that many of us crave, particularly if we are social. There is a reason why vehicle-specific tribes flock together, and that reason, simply put, is how I know that you think much like I do if you, too, choose to invest and drive a vehicle that I likewise find second to none. Another valid reason to travel in a group is that there is safety in numbers, and group security enables exploration that one might be reluctant to attempt alone.
EarthCruiser Adventure, a new division of EarthCruiser (the camper manufacturer), is now exclusively offering guided overland tours to EarthCruiser customers. Each tour is staffed by EarthCruiser’s professional overland experts, focused on helping owners realize the full potential of their purpose-designed vehicles while exploring expedition routes across the globe. Upcoming destinations include Central and Eastern Oregon backcountry, San Diego to Cabo San Lucas, Alaska, Montana, Cape Town, South Africa to Windhoek, Namibia, and from Windhoek to Livingstone, Zambia. (Editor’s Note: The Windhoek to Livingstone route is one of the greatest overland routes in Southern Africa—relatively safe yet adventurous with excellent Big Five sighting opportunities and outstanding camps and lodges).
“EarthCruiser is a travel company that just happens to make vehicles; it has always been that way since our very beginning. Our customers are those people who collect exceptional stories to tell and are driven to ring every ounce out of this life. EarthCruiser Adventure simply adds one more avenue for our customers to enjoy places and collect experiences that our trucks are designed and engineered to provide. Our vehicles are unique as our customers and crew, bringing all three together to see and experience as much of this world as we can just makes sense,”
said EarthCruiser Founder Lance Gillies.
EarthCruiser Adventures are limited to small groups composed of EarthCruiser owners. The intimate group size enables access to places that can’t support larger groups, allowing trip leaders to provide individual attention and enhance the flexibility to explore. Each adventure includes a focus on responsible and sustainable travel. Engaging with local partners, EarthCruiser Adventures is dedicated to leaving no trace and ensuring campsites and locations are better upon departure than they were at arrival. Every EarthCruiser Adventure lives up to the EarthCruiser motto: Go further, stay longer.
The first official EarthCruiser Adventure trip will begin at Overland Expo Pacific Northwest in Bend, Oregon, in July 2022.
