EarthCruiser Expands Into EV Market

EarthCruiser, purveyor of go-anywhere, no expense spared luxury overland vehicles, has announced its expansion into the EV market with a pre-order deposit program for a slide-in camper specifically engineered for EV trucks.

The company explains that they’ve kept a close eye on the growing popularity of electric vehicles within the overlanding sphere and that “industry stats and new government regulations demonstrate the momentum EV has with automakers and consumers.” Lance Gillies, found of EarthCruiser, states: “We have been keenly following the evolution of EV vehicles and have been waiting until the time is right and the time is now. We are a company that loves to discover, innovate, and test, over and over until we get it right. Our deep expertise in building world-renowned expedition vehicles makes it easier for us to roll into electric platforms compared to competitors.” One thing’s for sure, the popularity of EVs is growing exponentially and this step from industry leaders EarthCruiser towards an electric future is very telling.

The company has thus announced a “new class” of purpose-built slide-in campers that promise to take “the most advanced EV, hybrids and conventional gas-powered trucks to places others wouldn’t dream.” The pre-order program allows prospective buyers to reserve their slide-in camper with a fully-refundable $100 deposit and will be asked to put forward their preferences as the company finalizes the design. In addition, the campers are also designed to work “flawlessly” with internal combustion vehicles in the case that customers aren’t quite ready for an EV, and that “after a few simple software updates, the camper will be ready for life on the back of an electric vehicle.” If you’d like to reserve your camper then head over to earthcruiser.com.
