Wander Voyager – Chevrolet Silverado 6500HD Crew Cab 4×4 :: Premium Feature Vehicle

Wander Voyager Chevy 6500HD

Based in La Verne, California, Wander Voyager is on a mission to create the ultimate luxury expedition vehicle. A disruptor to the segment, the company seeks to redefine vehicle travel with builds that seamlessly blend backcountry ruggedness, capability, and autonomy with class-leading interior comfort and technology. With this in mind, cue the Wander Voyager 6500 (seats 5/sleeps 4), which is the company’s flagship model “for those who crave comfort without compromising capability.”

Wander Voyager Chevy 6500HDThe foundation is a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 6500HD Crew Cab 4×4 (3,xxx miles), which in all respects is a truck engineered from the factory for heavy commercial applications with a body-on-frame architecture, 4WD, solid axles, a considerable payload and towing capacity, and a powerful Duramax V8 diesel. This pinnacle full-size is then uprated with top-tier parts and accessories to optimize it for the road less traveled, including Kelderman air suspension, super single wheels with Continental MPT tires, armor, and a winch. This fit-for-purpose platform is mated to a composite habitation box that delivers exceptional strength and four-season comfort, thanks to a unique manufacturing process. It boasts 5-layer (full details here) 3.2-inch-thick composite walls bonded with glue and screws, premium XPS insulation, and wood studs between composites for added strength and to bear the weight of furniture/appliances. The result is a thermally efficient living cell that’s suited to the rigors of all-season international exploration, and serves as the perfect canvas for its marine-grade interior. Featuring teak wood floors, bespoke cabinetry, and brushed aluminium trim, it’s more akin to a luxury studio apartment or yacht than an expedition truck, ensuring that wherever you are in the world, you’re home.

Wander Voyager True off-grid freedom requires a rig to be self-sufficient, and to this end, the 6500 boasts generous amenities and redundancy to enable the ultimate autonomy when camping off-grid. A large lithium house battery system is supported by 2,600 watts of solar, 100 gallons of freshwater with multi-stage filtration and on-demand heating, climate control, and much more. It’s also worth noting that despite all of the above, this expedition goliath, when packed for adventure and brimmed with fuel and water, weighs in at 19,000 pounds, which is well within the chassis GVWR of 23,500 pounds. Finally, while this is not a budget rig, it’s almost half the price of comparable builds within the segment. So if you’re in the market for a turnkey, no-expense-spared expedition truck for adventures at home and abroad, look no further.

From the Seller:

“At Wander Voyager, we build premium expedition vehicles designed for comfort, durability, and freedom. From the rugged chassis of Isuzu and Chevy trucks to the refined living space inside, each camper is engineered for long-distance travel and all-season adventure. With thick insulation, residential-style climate control, and oversized solar and battery systems, our builds ensure you’re always ready to go—off-grid, off-road, and off-script. To this end, our flagship 6500, built on the powerful Chevy 6500HD 4X4 chassis, is designed for those who crave comfort without compromising capability. With rugged strength, refined interiors, and off-grid readiness, it’s the perfect home on wheels for bold, long-haul adventures.”
