Toyota Tacoma TRD

The Tacoma remains the most popular mid-size pickup on our forum with recent adventure ready offerings including this 2009 with a Go Fast Camper V2, 2011 w/ an AT Overland Habitat, and 2013 w/ an All Terrain Campers Bobcat. Whether kept stock or heavily modified, the Tacoma is well suited to the rigors of backcountry travel and enjoys access to huge aftermarket support. Subsequently, no two are the same with each rig as unique as its owner, as demonstrated by builds from the likes of Drew Simms, Total Chaos Fabrication, and Expedition Overland. In simple terms, it’s a vehicle that just works and much like the venerable Land Cruiser has forged a reputation for bulletproof reliability and uncompromising build quality. It was for these reasons and more that it was the platform of choice for international travellers Bound For Nowhere. Tune in to the Overland Journal Podcast and listen to the duo’s Quest for the Perfect Overland Vehicle, Exploring Alaska, and Realizing Childhood Dreams to learn why their Tacoma proved to be such an amazing travel companion. Cue today’s 2010 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road, which has been completely reimagined from the ground up with top-tier parts and accessories, but is priced at just $26,000.

From the Seller:

I bought this in 2017 as a gently used, stock vehicle and have overseen all the modifications using premium shops. Work done to OEM parts was mostly handled by Toyota using OEM equipment. The Tacoma has been well maintained and taken care of, but this is an offroad vehicle, and it has traveled some of the best trail networks in the Western US. As such, there are pinstripes and scratches to the skid plates. I made it a point to only use the best components, made in the USA whenever possible, with an emphasis on being lightweight and capable. I also have a garage full of other equipment that I’d be willing to part with if interested. I’m not responding to offers until we’ve had a conversation about the truck first.”
