Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter

The Toyota Tacoma of any year/iteration is considered a pinnacle overland vehicle and is widely considered the mid size truck by which all others are measured. Over the years, Toyota has recognized the platform’s recreational appeal and consequently pandered to adventurers with a variety of well-equipped trim packages and rugged TRD Off Road and Pro variants. However, until recently, there wasn’t an overland specific model, but that all changed with the Trailhunter. This exciting new model is underpinned by the fourth generation Tacoma, which shares the same ultra durable TNGA-F global truck architecture as the Tundra and Sequoia, but is in all regards reimagined for the backcountry. Subsequently, from the factory, it incorporates a high clearance front bumper, Old Man Emu suspension, a front stabilizer bar disconnect system, skid plates, rock sliders, a rear locking differential, snorkel, a multi-terrain select system, and so much more. Crucially, this vehicle was built in partnership with industry giants ARB, which means all of the aftermarket upfitting is warrantied and meets both companies’ stringent safety testing. Cue today’s ultra low mileage 2025 Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter (600 miles), which boasts premium upgrades and a Mits flatbed. At $62,000, this almost new package represents impressive value when you consider that from the dealership this truck has a base MSRP of $63,135 and has since benefited from aftermarket upfitting.
