There’s no shortage of vehicles suitable for around the world travel, but a select few are considered pinnacle overland platforms. However, I’m confident that if we were to pitch these vehicles in a poll to our audience the latter would be a clear winner. That speaks volumes to the validity of the Land Cruiser as a trusted overland platform.” The 200 Series is no exception and was (and perhaps still is) the most durable Land Cruiser ever built—not my words but those of the lead Land Cruiser engineer. The Expeditions 7 team had traveled to Japan to collect the vehicles for the trip and while Toyota appreciated their reasons for opting for the 70 Series they were quick to state that the 200 Series was the toughest and most rigorously tested iteration to date. Needless to say, it’s one of the most desirable vehicles for overland travel, and today’s offering is the holy grail.
