Toyota FJ Cruiser

It’s no secret that I’m a fan of the FJ Cruiser, and it seems I’m not the only one. Recent forum builds include this 2007, 2008 Trail Teams, and 2009 Supercharged. It’s remarkable that the FJ still looks so futuristic and purposeful when you consider it’s over 20 years old. However, make no mistake, this isn’t just a proof of concept, but a legitimate Land Cruiser with impressive backcountry credentials. This iconic 4WD is underpinned by the legendary Land Cruiser Prado chassis (as depended on by frontline agencies globally) and is well appointed for tackling the toughest terrain thanks to a dependable 4WD system with high and low range, a rear locking differential, and intelligent onboard assists such as A-Trac traction control. Further still, under the hood, it’s powered by the exceptionally long lived 1GR-FE V6 motor, which is also used in the 4Runner, Tacoma, and Tundra. Cue today’s 2013 Toyota FJ Cruiser (130,000 miles), which showcases a plethora of desirable modifications and is priced competitively at $24,000.
