Toyota 4Runner

The Toyota 4Runner is a favorite on the Expedition Portal forum with recent offerings including this 1999 SR5, 2003 Sport, and 2005 Limited. Today’s 2005 Toyota 4Runner (16x,xxx miles) is in excellent condition and showcases “over $35,000 in modifications.” In addition, it was the first iteration offered with a V8 motor. Expedition Portal and Overland Journal Publisher Scott Brady states, “The V8 was the darling of the 4th-Gen and remains highly desirable to this day. The 4.7-liter V8 is a Land Cruiser and Lexus powerplant and is legendary for reliability, with a 500,000-mile service life being commonplace.” Subsequently, it remains a favorite for overland travel with drool-worthy builds from Garrett Logan, Peach State Overland, and TRD John. The immense success of the 4Runner is not a coincidence but rather a reflection of its reputation for excellence, whether as a daily driver, work vehicle, dedicated overland rig, or perhaps a mixture of all three; it’s a vehicle you can trust to get the job done.

From the Seller:

This 4Runner has been decked out with over $35,000 in modifications (excluding tax, delivery, and install) for overland use. I can provide a breakdown for interested buyers. This car has been problem-free. I am selling it as I do not get the use out of it I would like, and I have a growing family with different needs. Those familiar with the car will know what a steal this is.”
