Ram Prospector XL

Full-size trucks have become the preferred choice for those looking to travel long-term or transition to life on the road full time. Executive Publisher Scott Brady states, “When we first started Overland Journal, the compact pickup was by far the most popular choice for overlanding, but that gap is quickly narrowing with full-size variants. The reason is simple—big trucks are more capable than ever before, and they have the payload to haul more than a few passengers and a basket of groceries.” To this end, Ram’s lineup of heavy-duty pickups continues to dominate the segment with solid axles, 4WD capability, plush interiors, a Cummins diesel motor, and considerable payload/towing capacity. This model enjoys access to almost unrivaled aftermarket support from the likes of industry giant American Expedition Vehicles (AEV). The company’s Prospector XL package takes the venerable Ram 2500/3500 and reimagines it from the ground up with rigorously tested parts and accessories to optimize the platform for hardcore exploration. The result is exceptional and creates an expedition vehicle that is optimal for backcountry adventure and has been coined the “North American Unimog.” Cue today’s low-mileage 2022 Ram AEV Prospector XL (49,500 miles), which boasts extensive premium modifications and is topped with an OEV Aluma Tray. This pinnacle rig was owned most of its life by overlanding royalty @fotornr before being purchased by professional videographer Keegan Jasper and is now ready for the next lucky owner. If you’re in the market for the ultimate full-size platform to mount a camper or habitation cell then look no further. Ram Prospector XL

Ram Prospector XLFrom the Seller:

“This specific 2022 Ram 3500 Prospector XL has been my dream truck for years. I was always drooling over the idea of owning a PXL with a flatbed so I could mount a camper and live/travel out of it full time. I bought this truck from my buddy AJ, who was the original owner, in June, and have been working every day since to find a good deal on a camper so we could hit the road. Unfortunately, my family has experienced sudden financial burdens and I’ve made the very difficult decision to sell. If you’re looking for one of the most capable, attractive, and powerful trucks you can find on the road for your future adventures, this is the one. It’s equipped with a flatbed/tray, a powerful H/O 6.7 turbo-diesel Cummins engine, and one of the best tire/wheel/suspension combos money can buy. I believe it still has a powertrain warranty until five years or 100,000 miles. For those who aren’t aware of the AEV platform or how much these trucks cost, a new build to this specification would go for upwards of $150,000. Additionally, this rig is a 3500 rather than a 2500; AEV usually builds out 2500s unless it was a specialty order, so to find a 3500 PXL with a tray is rare.”
