2010 Ram 2500 w/ Custom Phoenix Pop Top Camper :: Featured Classified

Ram 2500

The Ram 2500 fitted with the 6.7-liter Cummins diesel is undoubtedly one of the most desirable full-size platforms for overlanding. From the factory, this pickup is well-appointed for backcountry adventures thanks to its powerful motor, generous payload and towing capacity, comfortable interior, and impressive 4WD capability. Further still, access to exceptional aftermarket care sets this vehicle apart from many of its competitors, namely the support of AEV (American Expedition Vehicles). Customers can choose from a wide array of premium parts and accessories to enhance their 2500 or opt for the full Prospector Package. This off-the-shelf option transforms the venerable 2500 into a bonafide expedition vehicle with stamped steel bumpers, a winch, 3-inch lifted and uprated suspension, 37-inch BFGoodrich tires, and more (reference the adventures of The Story Till Now in his Prospector). All this to say, this is one of the most versatile full-size platforms on the market and can be enjoyed in stock form or overhauled for the most extreme applications. Publisher Scott Brady states, “While the Power Wagon gets all the off-road attention, the 2500 and 3500s have quietly overtaken the #1 seat in the full-size overland segment. With the combination of solid axles, the Cummins motor, and with the aftermarket support of companies like AEV, the Ram has consistently ranked as one of the most popular big trucks for our audience.” Cue today’s 2010 Ram 2500 (173,000 miles), which showcases tasteful upgrades and is topped with a custom Phoenix pop-up camper. At $30,000 OBO, this rig represents impressive value and is priced significantly less than other comparable rigs we’ve featured. So, if you’re in the market for a turnkey rig to hit the road in 2025, look no further.

From the Seller:

I am the original owner of this rig, which has taken us across the US numerous times, providing wonderful adventures over the past 14 years. Built for reliability and usability, it offers comfort and capability while being small enough to fit in a normal parking spot. The truck has traveled mostly on the highway, forest roads, and along the shore and is currently a daily driver. The 2500 has been treated seasonally with fluid film, and the chassis and undercarriage are in excellent shape for their age. The truck has always been serviced timely, and any repairs were made with OEM or better parts. The front end was completely redone last year with $10,000 in receipts. The camper requires a little interior work, but it’s dr,y and there is no rot. More pictures and details are available upon request.”
