The Ram 2500/3500 has become one of the most desirable full-size trucks within the segment. Out of the box, this model is well equipped for exploration thanks to a body-on-frame architecture, Cummins motor, 4WD, solid axles, considerable payload, and access to rugged factory options such as the Off Road Package. The interior is also class-leading, especially when specified with the higher trims, which are more akin to a luxury SUV than a commercial pickup. It’s also the aftermarket darling with huge support from the likes of industry leaders American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) , which offer a comprehensive Prospector package that reimagines the Ram from the ground up with parts and accessories that meet or exceed OEM quality and safety standards. The result has been coined the “North American Unimog,” and is, for all intents and purposes, optimized for when the tarmac ends. With this in mind, cue today’s 2018 Ram 2500 Crew Cab Laramie (77,000 miles), which has been upfitted with the Prospector package, MITS Alloy flatbed, and a Four Wheel Campers Hawk. The specifications for this build are extensive, with more than $172,000 invested into the build, which makes it an impressive value at $135,000. So if you’re looking for a turnkey, overland-ready, full-size package, then look no further.

From the Seller:
“This 2500 was built between October (2025) and January of this year and has less than 3,000 miles on the finished project. It was built to be four-season overland-ready and is in all regards engineered for off-grid exploration. It’s an AEV Prospector clone and thus upfitted with top-tier parts and accessories that will provide years of hassle-free adventure. This pinnacle foundation has been topped with a customized MITS Alloy Tray and a fully equipped Four Wheel Campers Hawk. The camper alone has an MSRP of $80,000 with $10,000 of this being dealer-installed upgrades. The Cummins diesel has a legendary reputation for longevity, but I’ve taken this a step further by bulletproofing any known weaknesses to create a true ‘million-mile motor.’ So why am I selling? I love building rigs (often building one a year), and this is not my first (I’ve had previous rigs publicized in Tread Magazine) and won’t be my last.”
