Ram 2500

The Ram 2500 is one of the most popular full-size pickups on our forum with recent overland equipped offerings such as this 1998 with an Outfitter Manufacturing camper, 2004 with a Leer camper shell, and a heavily modified 2022 with a GCI Traytec Premium canopy. It’s not hard to see why this pickup has become so popular within the segment considering its 4WD capability, solid axles, Cummins motor, generous payload and towing capacity, and well-equipped interior. Not to mention that it enjoys access to extensive aftermarket support from the likes of industry giant AEV (American Expedition Vehicles). It’s often the platform of choice for remote backcountry travel, as demonstrated by drool-worthy rigs from No Limit BMORE, Rebel Off Road, and Enduro Campers. If you’d like to learn more about the 2500, then listen to Scott Brady and Matt Scott Deep Dive the Ram HD AEV Prospector on the Overland Journal Podcast. Cue today’s 2004 Ram 2500 (174,100 miles), showcasing over $35,000 in parts and upgrades and powered by the legendary 5.9-liter Cummins.

From the Seller:

I bought this truck about four years ago as my kids were getting too big for the Jeep I had. I am not sure there is a part that has not been upgraded on the truck. All the parts are top-notch and I have receipts for some of the parts. Inside the bed, there are some minor chips in the Linex liner, and the power adjuster on the passenger mirror doesn’t work. There is some clearcoat peeling on the driver’s fender. Other than that, everything works and looks as it should.”
