2003 Nissan Xterra :: Classifieds

NIssan Xterra overland build

The cost of overlanding vehicles has gotten a bit silly in recent years with prices becoming prohibitively expensive. It’s important to remember that this pursuit had humble beginnings and prioritized experiences with loved ones in the great outdoors above all else. Throw a sleeping bag, food, water, and good tunes into whatever vehicle you have, and get out there and explore. Fortunately, there are still budget-friendly adventure vehicles out there for less than $10,000 including this 2006 Land Rover LR3, a 2004 Toyota Tundra Double Cab SR5, and a 1991 Mitsubishi Montero. Today’s 2003 Nissan Xterra is another wallet-friendly option at just $9,500. This dependable Japanese 4WD has covered 111,102 miles and features tasteful premium modifications, a drawer system, and a Gobi roof rack. If you’d like to better understand why the Xterra has something of a cult following amongst the 4WD community then I recommend checking out the adventures of TFLnow and Softroading the West.

From the Seller:

I bought this in 2016 from a friend/co-worker who bought the truck new in 2003 and did the build. The mileage is low due to us both having company vehicles. This Xterra has been an around-town weekend driver and outdoor rig. It has never been beaten or abused. I never use it to its full capability. Mostly snow trips to Colorado, the Eastern Sierra, and local camping trips.”
