Land Rover Discovery II

The New Year has arrived. Before we know it, spring will be upon us, bringing longer days, warmer temperatures, and more opportunities to explore. Unfortunately, spring often marks inflated vehicle prices as the market is flooded with buyers looking for capable rigs for their summer adventures. Subsequently, winter is the perfect opportunity to grab a bargain, and today’s $9,500 1999 Land Rover Discovery II is a great example. The Disco is a popular choice on our forum with recent offerings including this 1998, a 1995, and a 1997 Camel Trophy. If you’d like a better idea of how this platform can be outfitted for travel, check out the overland-ready builds from Xandera and Arkansas Offroad. The Discovery offers much of the same classic charm and rugged credentials as the Defender despite being a fraction of the cost. Sure, the Discovery is not without its shortfalls, but with the money you save, you can easily address these thanks to excellent aftermarket support. Today’s 1999 Discovery II (139,050 miles) has to be one of the cleanest examples we’ve showcased, and considering the upgrades, it’s priced very competitively.

From the Seller:

I have owned this Discovery for almost two years and have enjoyed every moment. This is a weekend fun vehicle for me as I have a company car to use throughout the week. I love this truck, but due to financial reasons, I cannot justify keeping it at this time in my life. I purchased it from a very OCD enthusiast in Atlanta who purchased it from his neighbor. They both garaged the vehicle and kept it well-maintained. The individual I purchased it from bought it bone stock and did most of the modifications/upgrades. All windows and door locks work properly. The sunroofs are sealed and are not operational at this time (no leaks, though). During my ownership, I replaced the front driveshaft with an HD Tom Woods as a preventative item as well as added the Ultra gauge to monitor engine temps. The truck drives and runs great.
