2024 Ford F-550 Expedition Truck :: Featured Classified

Ford F-550

The F-550 remains the benchmark for expedition truck chassis in North America and is the preferred choice of industry-leading luxury overland vehicle builders, such as EarthRoamer, Rossmönster, and Krug Expedition. These spectacular builds deliver impressive capability, luxurious cab comfort, and a habitation cell that’s more akin to a luxury apartment than an RV. However, with the latest EarthRoamer LTx starting at an eye-watering $825,000, they’re also prohibitively expensive for most, which has inspired talented enthusiasts to build their own for a fraction of the price. To this end, cue today’s low-mileage 2024 Ford F-550 (20,000 miles), which boasts the “Godzilla” gas motor, a plethora of premium aftermarket modifications, and is topped with a fully equipped composite habitation cell. At $220,000 OBO, this package is a fraction of the price of the LTx, yet, for all intents and purposes, remains a turnkey, four-season, ready-to-explore expedition truck. Built for family adventures, this stunning build has been real-world “Baja to Alaska” proven and incorporates generous amenities, including a large lithium house battery system supported by 1,000 watts of solar, Starlink, 77 gallons of freshwater with multi-stage filtration and on-demand hot water, a wet bathroom, a wood-burning stove, and premium flooring, cabinetry, and appliances throughout. So, if you’re looking to take that big trip or transition to life on the road in 2026, look no further.

Ford F-550From the Seller:

This Zombieproof Bugout Truck is turnkey ready for adventure! We built this F-550 for full-time travel with our kids, but sometimes plans change; this off-road beast is ready for its next owner! It’s Baja to Alaska tested and doesn’t just take you to first-row beach camping and down sandy Utah washes, but also up snowy mountains and muddy Alaskan backroads. The truck has been meticulously maintained with fully synthetic oil changes, tire rotations, and inspections every 5,000 miles. The camper setup is perfect for a family of four with small or big kids. It has two bunk beds over the cab with plenty of storage, desks, privacy doors on both beds, and a sliding door to separate the room. There’s an additional fold-down Murphy-style queen bed over the dinette that leaves the kitchen/dinette accessible when in use. The dinette can seat 4-5 people comfortably, or can be rearranged to form one giant sofa. It has a Lagun table and panoramic windows as well as plenty of storage underneath. It’s a great family vehicle combining the safety of a truck with the comfort of a home on the road.”
