2022 Ford F-350 Lariat w/Ultimate Package, Bowen Customs Bed, and Scout Kenai :: Featured Classified

Ford F-350

I’ve been living on the road for more than a decade, and during that time I’ve seen just about every rig imaginable, ranging from under $1,000 to well over $1,000,000. There’s no perfect solution, but after years of consideration, I’ve come to the conclusion that a full-size pickup with a flatbed and slide-in camper comes pretty close. To this end, cue today’s 2022 Ford F-350 Lariat (67,000 miles), which boasts the Ultimate Package, a plethora of top-tier parts/accessories, a Bowen Customs bed, and is topped with a four-season-ready Scout Kenai. The F-350 that underpins this package is a benchmark for travel, and the platform of choice for several industry-leading overland vehicle builders such as Nimbl Vehicles, Tactical Application Vehicles, and Rossmönster. With its exceptionally long-lived and powerful Power Stroke motor, heavy-duty 4WD system, considerable payload, and luxurious interior, it delivers above and beyond what we expect from an overland vehicle. This foundation is topped with a Bowen Customs flatbed, which replaces the factory bed with a flatbed and lockable/weatherproof exterior storage system that seamlessly integrates with a slide-in camper. The camper in question is the Scout Kenai, a model we know and love at the Overland Collective, and consequently chosen for Overland Journal’s GMC AT4 Sierra Project Vehicle. Executive Publisher Scott Brady states, “After nearly two years, the Scout has exceeded my expectations and certainly justified the purchase price. I like its simplicity and robustness, even with thousands of miles of dirt-road travel.” At $115,000, today’s package represents an impressive value and is the ideal turnkey option for those looking to commit to a big trip or transition to life on the road in 2026.

Scout KenaiFrom the Seller:

“I’ve owned multiple truck campers in the past and when the Scout came out, it was everything I’d wanted on my previous builds. Hard sided but lightweight, well insulated, no plumbing lines to freeze, big windows, and ample, easy storage. Still averages 14-15 mpg with the Scout Kenai, and the ease of loading/unloading this camper with the Bowen Customs bed is as easy as it gets. This truck combo with its impressive approach/departure angle and uprated suspension, allows us to go and explore with minimal compromises in most areas in the west. First thing I did to the F-350 was add Carli suspension, full pin top with all options – I’m a fanatic about suspension and don’t believe in compromises. The Bowen bed was installed in early 2024, which allows us to carry more gear/weight. We also installed custom Alcan progressive leaf springs built to the exact weight of our full camper load (it still has airbags for help with towing as needed). As a suspension nerd, I feel this ride is perfect for on and off-road. I often run errands in the truck around town and barely notice the camper being there.”
