1989 Ford F-150 4×4 w/ Caravan Campershell :: Classifieds

Ford F-150

I’m a sucker for a classic overland rig and recently featured a number of drool-worthy examples, including this 1987 Toyota Chinook, 1989 Vanagon Syncro, and 1993 Ford F-250 with a 1973 Alaskan camper. I’ve lived and traveled in this 1986 Vanagon Syncro for more than a decade, and despite the challenges, there’s something undeniably magical about exploring in an old timer. Sure, I’ve endured more than a few breakdowns, but oftentimes, these are the best stories and often forge new friendships. Things may go wrong more frequently, but unlike the latest modern vehicles, they’re generally easier to fix and can be worked on by any mechanic. To this end, cue today’s 1989 Ford F-150 4×4, which showcases a huge list of upgrades, heaps of recent maintenance, and is timelessly cool.

From the Seller:

I started building this truck in 2019. I’ve done everything you could do to these trucks that makes it worth what I’m asking. It’s seen a lot of adventure, from snow wheeling, two completed trips through the Rubicon, and trips to Yellowstone and Death Valley. It will get you anywhere you want to get a full-sized rig through. It cruises at 65 mph at 2,200 RPM and crawls when you want. It’s a work of art, but we no longer use it. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I’ve touched almost every bolt on this truck to get it to where it is. I have receipts for just about everything.”
