Ford E-350

The E-350 is a firm favorite amongst our community; recent adventure-ready offerings include this 2002 U-Joint, 2014 box truck camper, and 2021 Field Van Classic. Generally speaking, these vehicles remain something of an underappreciated value when you consider that an AWD Sprinter camper will set you back in excess of $100,000 while today’s 2000 Ford E-350 4×4 (100,xxx miles) is listed at just $25,000. That’s a heck of a deal for a vehicle that boasts a “million-mile” Power Stroke diesel motor, a heavy-duty 4WD system with front and rear lockers, and a generously sized interior that’s ripe for a full camper conversion. This particular offering has been extensively modified with overland travel in mind and, in all regards, has been over-engineered to withstand backcountry punishment (full details here). If you’d like a better understanding of how this chassis can be uprated for exploration, check out inspiring builds from the likes of New Jersey Outdoor Adventures, Driving Line, and Primal Outdoors

From the Seller:

“Some life circumstances are forcing me to sell my unfinished 4×4 ambulance project. It’s 100 percent rust rust-free and has never seen salt. It has a brand-new ATS stage 6 4R100 transmission with all billet internals and a matching ATS billet torque converter. Probably overkill, but that’s the route I took when I thought I’d be buried in it. The interior is gutted and a blank slate. The engine runs great, but it will need to be towed, and a few things buttoned up before it’s road-ready. I’m in about $35K total, without counting hundreds of hours. The hard parts are finished.”
