EarthRoamer

In a recent Overland Journal podcast, Scott Brady and Matt Scott discussed the Principles of Overlanding :: Expedition Campers with frequent reference to EarthRoamer. It’s a company famous for its no-expense-spared expedition vehicles, and the XV-LT is undoubtedly their most coveted model. These trucks do not come up for sale often due to their rarity and price point, with just a handful posted to our forum, including a 2008, 2010, and 2015. Today’s low-mileage (72,000 miles) 2008 EarthRoamer XV-LT #71 is one of the nicest to date, and at $220,000, it’s very competitively priced. The company’s latest LTi has a base price of $730,000, with finished builds averaging between $775,000-$840,000, which makes today’s offering nearly a quarter of the price (despite many modern aftermarket upgrades). If you’d like to see a detailed walkthrough of this stunning rig, then check out the detailed video tour here. From the Seller:

It’s hard to see this go, especially after wanting one of these for so long and all the work and time put into getting it dialed and reliable. I am the third owner of ER #71, and it has been an awesome vehicle. When I first got it, it had 61,000 miles. It went straight to the diesel shop, and I had the oil tested and the motor gone through because reliability was my biggest concern with the 6.4-liter Power Stroke. The particulate filter was removed, and the computer was reprogrammed to stock for reliability (the particulate filter can be added back on if your county requires it for emissions check). I added an Edge monitor to see temps at all times with alarms set so you know what is going on [without] pushing the motor too hard. The suspension was converted to a Kelderman air ride like the newer models, along with DBL Designs super single wheels and Goodyear G275 tires. These are truly awesome vehicles, and even though it is a 2008, you [will be] blown away by the craftsmanship with the solid wood cabinets its design and functions.”
