Modern life is hectic, and making time for adventure isn’t always straightforward. To maximize our time in the backcountry, organization is key, and having a rig that’s turnkey-ready to go at a moment’s notice makes all the difference. To this end, an overland trailer is a great solution and provides key advantages over a fully contained expedition vehicle. Kicking off a dedicated camping trailer means that your towing vehicle can be uncoupled and utilized as a daily driver when not traveling (ideal for one-vehicle households). Once at camp, it can function as a self-contained home base, which frees up the vehicle to explore trails without being excessively overloaded with equipment and supplies. Crucially, it can be configured with everything needed to explore at all times, and once a trip is over, it can be quickly reset and easily stored for the next adventure. There’s an array of options on the market, but Boreas Campers are considered industry-leading. The EOS-12 is their flagship model and, for all intents and purposes, is designed to be the ultimate off-road camping trailer. Cue today’s 2024 Boreas EOS-12, which has been optioned out from the factory and would cost over $100,000 to recreate. The specs and amenities are akin to a premium expedition truck with a 1,080-amp-hour lithium battery bank supported by 1,000 watts of solar, 50 gallons of freshwater with filtration and on-demand hot water, sleeping for four, a wet bath with shower and toilet, and four-season climate control. At $57,500, this package represents amazing value and is available now with no lead time.

From the Seller:
“I purchased the Boreas EOS 12 trailer in May of 2024 so that I could spend some one-on-one dad time with each of my teenage kids. Now my twins are heading off to college, and I’m looking to generate some college funds. We have used the trailer primarily for off-grid ski and beach camping, but it also functions well at campgrounds. I love that you can take it to a state or national park at the last minute and easily get a reservation for a long weekend because the trailer doesn’t need a hookup and is less than 25 feet. The Boreas is designed for overlanding and is very capable. I have used it for solo trips, short adventures with my twins, and long weekends with my wife. The trailer is only two years old, and I have kept it under covered storage with an electrical hookup from new, with seasonal winterization. It is in excellent condition, and a great thing about the design is that all the components are easily accessible. It’s lightweight (under 5,000 pounds), perfectly balanced, and tows like a dream. Setup is a breeze, with air suspension leveling and no need for stabilizer jacks. For winter enthusiasts, you can stay on the mountain for five+ days, stay warm, have power, and most importantly, a functioning toilet, without the need for water (due to the Laveo dry flush toilet, which I love). The trailer has a clean title, and buying this cuts out the long wait for a new build.”

2024 Boreas EOS-12 Overland Trailer
The EOS-12 is named after the Greek goddess of the dawn and mother of Boreas, and the length of the cabin is 12 feet long. The EOS-12 keeps the foundation that has made the XT the standard for off-road camper trailers, including a powder-coated steel chassis, all-terrain tires, and independent Cruisemaster suspension, giving it 20 inches of clearance. It’s also built with the industry-leading, zero-wood construction used on all Boreas Campers models, eliminating the possibility of decay and rot associated with wood elements.
