The 4Runner is fitted with a 4.0-liter V6 that from the factory delivers 270 horsepower, 278 pound-feet of torque (today’s example has been uprated with a Magnuson supercharger), and returns a combined 17 mpg (range provided via 24-gallon Long Range America auxiliary fuel tank). A bulletproof motor and drivetrain are matched with class-leading capability thanks to 4WD, high and low range, a rear locking differential, lifted and uprated suspension, skid plates, and intelligent onboard systems such as a multi-terrain select and crawl control.
