2021 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road w/ Alu-Cab Camper :: Featured Classified

Tacoma

The third-gen Tacoma is the best-selling and most proven to date and continues to dominate the mid-size category. It’s the pickup of choice for those seeking a minimalist setup that prioritizes experiences above all else and is subsequently a figurehead of the North American overlanding community. Whether you’re planning weekend adventures or an around-the-world trip (check out Rogue Wanderers), it’s a rig you can trust to complete the journey. In addition, it enjoys almost unparalleled aftermarket support, which means owners can reimagine the model from the ground up. The Overland Collective has extensively field-tested the third gen, which included an ambitious winter trip to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. Executive Publisher Scott Brady was at the wheel: “With 2016, the Tacoma received a major redesign, the country’s best-selling compact truck gaining an additional speed in the automatic transmission and a 3.5-liter, 278-horsepower V6. Both the body and interior were significantly revised, adding a refinement not present in previous models. As I drove for days through the Arctic, all of these significant and subtle improvements became apparent, from multi-level heated seats to the traction afforded by the multi-mode terrain response.” These findings were mirrored by the XOverland team, who utilized this iteration for expeditions in Scandinavia, Africa, Central and South America, and Alaska. In short, this is a pinnacle overland platform and one that you can depend on for the most ambitious adventures. With this in mind, cue today’s low-mileage 2021 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road (35,000 miles), which boasts premium modifications and is topped with an Alu-Cab camper. This setup could be enjoyed as is or serve as a blank canvas for a full live-in build-out.

TacomaFrom the Seller:

“This rig was assembled during 2025. The truck is a 2021 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road and is powered by the bulletproof 3.5-liter V6. Modifications from stock include King off-road shocks and Method bronze-tone rims. The odometer registers a little over 35,000 miles. All mechanicals, electrical systems, and components are fully operational; the only minor blemish is a dimple in the rear bumper, as pictured. The camper is an Alu-cab with a pop-up tent, side awning, and various accessories. Alu-Cabs are among the best of the breed and are intentionally overbuilt and ready for the apocalypse. The truck is finished in Army Green and has a clear Texas title (although currently located in Louisville, Kentucky). I would like to sell it as a unit ($60,000) but would separate the Alu-Cab ($17,000) if the buyer is willing to remove it. Delivery is also possible, depending on the sale price and the buyer’s location. The original intent for the rig was to rent it to casual overlanders.  Life and job changes forestalled this plan, so now it’s ready for someone who wants a low-mileage, adventure-ready vehicle. If you have additional questions, don’t hesitate to ask.”
