2015 Ram 3500 w/ AT Overland Advanced Flatbed & Aterra XLF Camper :: Premium Classified

Ram 3500 overland

Working at the Overland Collective, I see thousands of dialed rigs, so it takes something decidedly special to stop me in my tracks, fumbling in excitement to write a cheque. However, it’s perhaps no surprise that the latest build to leave me wide-eyed and salivating is from none other than industry leader AT Overland. Over the last two decades, the company has developed, manufactured, and extensively field-tested some of the segment’s most impressive vehicle flatbeds, campers, and accessories. Executive Publisher Scott Brady states, “AT Overland has been around since the earliest days of the overland industry, manufacturing some of the most capable and durable campers on the market. Their Aterra tray camper is renowned for being constructed for around-the-world travel in four seasons.” To that end, we’re excited to offer a unique opportunity to purchase the company’s show truck, a pinnacle platform for around-the-world exploration. This drool-worthy package is underpinned by American Expedition Vehicles’ (AEV) Chassis Cab Project Vehicle, which was originally displayed at Overland Expo West [2015] and was later acquired and built out by AT Overland. AEV overhauled the 2015 Ram 3500 (29,312 miles) with their Prospector XL package, which includes a lifted and uprated suspension, single-rear-wheel conversion with 40-inch tires, armor, a winch, 4.44 axle gearing, ARB lockers, a snorkel, and various accessories. This desirable chassis has been topped with AT Overland’s Advanced Flatbed System, with a forward garage, large underbed compartments, and a rear storage drawer. This integrates seamlessly with the company’s flagship XLF hard-sided camper, encompassing a wide array of desirable comforts and amenities, such as climate control, a waterless toilet, an indoor/outdoor shower, a large lithium house battery system, a fully equipped kitchen, 30 gallons of freshwater with on-demand hot water, and provisions for Starlink. At $195,000, this turnkey rig offers impressive value and costs a fraction of what it would take to recreate.

Ram 3500 AEV

Ram 3500 AEVFrom the Seller:

“Built for extended backcountry travel, this expedition truck combines Cummins diesel power, exceptional storage, and a fully equipped, hard-sided Aterra XLF camper. Originally an AEV cab chassis project vehicle displayed at Overland Expo in 2015, the truck was acquired with 3,276 miles and completed by AT Overland in 2024. It has served as AT Overland’s show truck for two years and has been maintained in excellent condition. The rig is underpinned by a Ram 3500 SLT regular cab chassis and features a 6.7-liter Cummins turbo diesel, an 84-inch cab-to-axle configuration, single rear-wheel conversion, 4.44 axle gearing, ARB air lockers, and 40-inch tires. Its 92-gallon diesel capacity delivers about 1,100 miles of range at an average of 12–14 MPG, and is paired with AT Overland’s Advanced Flatbed System, designed specifically for the XLF camper, which provides an expansive forward garage, large underbed compartments, and a rear storage drawer. The garage accommodates a 40-inch spare wheel and a cabinet system holding 10 Step 22 storage bags, plus extra space for tools and adventure gear. Independently mounted garage and flatbed structures use urethane bushings to accommodate chassis movement and reduce vibration. Integrated mounting points allow easy camper installation/removal. The flatbed is mated to an Aterra XLF camper, which is built in Prescott, Arizona.  The lightweight, fiber-reinforced thermoplastic honeycomb composite camper offers a versatile living space.”
