1995 Mercedes 410d 4×4 :: Featured Classified

Mercedes 410 4x4

Since its inception in 1926 Mercedes has built a reputation for excellence and has long been a benchmark for build quality and automotive design. They’ve also produced some of the most desirable overland platforms, including the coveted Geländewagen and Unimog. However, for many, including myself, it’s the company’s range of 4WD vans that should take the spotlight (upfitted by 4WD specialists such as LARAG and IGLHAUT Allrad). These impressive vehicles balance the practicality/drivability of a commercial van with capability that would make most 4WDs blush. The 410d 4×4 is one of the most desirable; showcasing a body-on-frame architecture, bulletproof OM602 diesel motor, solid axles, a heavy duty 4WD system, low range transfer case, a lifted and uprated suspension, armor, and more. This is one of a select few vehicles built to endure daily backcountry punishment and is in all regards overbuilt and ideally suited to the rigors of exploration. Further still, it’s intentionally devoid of unnecessary/complex electronics, which ensures that the vehicle is field serviceable and repairable, whether by the owner or a local mechanic (and enjoys access to Mercedes fabled global support network). With this in mind, cue today’s 1995 Mercedes 410d 4×4 (39,000 kilometers/24,233 miles), which showcases premium modifications and a professional camper conversion by Camperbouw Limburg. If you’re looking for a pinnacle, fully contained, overland platform that has been professional built and field proven then look no further.
