Bowler Motors, the UK-based high-performance vehicle manufacturer, has unveiled its 100th Edition Bowler Defender 90 Road Car Conversion. The bespoke model has been expertly engineered to mark the 100th full commission of a 90-wheelbase Defender by Bowler, with several custom features added.
The 100th Edition Bowler Defender 90 Road Car Conversion is built on the same lightweight 90 hardtop derivative as the original Defender Challenge cars, paying tribute to its heritage. The vehicle retains the body protection and signature white rally wheels developed by Bowler for off-road racing, making it a must-have for any collector or Defender enthusiast.
The base vehicle comes from an exclusive fleet within Jaguar Land Rover. It has undergone a comprehensive refresh by the Bowler Works Team, including many new parts such as body panels, transfer box, dash and door cards, paintwork, various mechanical components replaced or upgraded, steering box, carpets, rubber matting, and chassis protection to provide owners or collectors with many years of enjoyment.
The conversion features Bowler Fast Road Suspension, a Stage 2 engine upgrade (including the intercooler), a performance exhaust, 18-inch lightweight alloy wheels with 285 x 60 x18-inch BFGoodrich all-terrain tires, bespoke graphics package, custom badges, and an external protection pack in Corris Grey (bumper, steering guard, sills, and rear steps). This stunning 90 also boasts signature headlight surrounds, rollover protection (with a bespoke cross to mount the spare wheel internally), stainless steel fixings, Bowler bonnet lettering, a Bowler brake kit, and half bulk-head deletion. Inside, the driver will be treated to a fully soundproof interior, Recaro SVX 60th anniversary seats, leather dash tops, MOMO Race Style Alcantara steering wheel, Bowler gear-shifter kit, Alcantara roof lining, and an Alpine double din head unit with reverse camera.
Bowler Motors Limited manufactures off-road racing vehicles based on the Land Rover Defender and Range Rover chassis and is located in Derbyshire, in the United Kingdom. Jaguar Land Rover acquired Bowler Off Road in December 2019 to be incorporated into Jaguar’s Special Vehicle Operations division. So, you can still purchase a classic Defender, albeit revamped, from Land Rover.
The exclusive 100th Edition Bowler Defender 90 Road Car Conversion is priced at $95,000 and is now available.
