BFGoodrich Further Expands All-Terrain T/A KO3 Tire Line-Up

BFGoodrich is expanding the line-up of its All-Terrain T/A KO3 tire with five new sizes as part of the third phase of its product launch, as covered by Expedition Portal in May 2024. Currently, 35 sizes are available; the total number will exceed 100 once the rollout is complete. The launch began earlier in May with the introduction of 13 replacement sizes, followed by 17 more in August. Looking ahead, BFGoodrich plans to release 52 additional sizes in 2025, with the final 19 becoming available by 2026. The five new sizes are all within the 22R range from LT265 to LT325.

The KO3 tire builds on the success of its predecessor, the All-Terrain T/A KO2. The KO3 improves upon the KO2 by offering better traction, increased tread life, and enhanced durability, making it more capable on challenging surfaces like gravel, snow, and mud. A key improvement in the KO3 is its ability to withstand wear, especially on gravel roads. BFGoodrich has also focused on enhancing the KO3’s performance in snow, ensuring better traction in cold and icy conditions. At the same time, the tire maintains the sidewall strength, and for those seeking reliability in extreme environments, the KO3 comes with a 50,000-mile warranty and a 60-day satisfaction guarantee.

One notable advocate of the KO3 is off-road racing legend Rob MacCachren. Known for tackling harsh environments like the deserts of Baja California and the rugged terrain between Nevada and Utah, MacCachren has expressed his satisfaction with the KO3, stating that it exceeded his expectations in terms of toughness and performance in some of the harshest off-road conditions.

The KO3 is part of BFGoodrich’s broader Terrain family of tires, which includes models like the Trail-Terrain T/A, HD-Terrain T/A KT, and Mud-Terrain T/A KM3. These tires are all designed with the same focus on versatility, durability, and off-road performance, making the Terrain family a go-to choice for drivers looking for capable all-terrain options.
