All-new F-150 Raptor, Fox Live Valve Internal Bypass Shocks

Fox Shocks are widely accepted as some of the best on the market, and now, Ford, working with Fox, enhances the next-generation Fox Live Valve (LV) internal bypass shocks on the all-new 2021 F-150 Raptor. The new shocks promise to give the latest Raptor even more capacity when going hard on challenging terrain and subsequently bolster the truck’s already impressive off-road credentials. So, what makes these shocks so special?

First off, the 2021 Raptor shocks have been increased to 3.1 inches in diameter, which are the largest Raptor shocks ever and provide more passive support. Moreover, they have twice the dampening support as the 2020 model, with more passive damping capacity (when the LV Technology is not active) than the second-generation Raptor offered with LV active. Finally, thanks to the truck’s new algorithm and LV technology, the new shocks can assess, predict and react to terrain changes at the same speed the human brain processes visual information. Consequently, the Raptor has already adjusted to oncoming undulation before a driver recognizes it’s there.

The F-150 Raptor has a warranted reputation for off-road agility, and the newest model’s Fox Live Valve internal shocks promise even more all-terrain performance. Check out the video below for a detailed look at why these shocks are so special.
