Afrika Offroad’s Custom Bremach Camper

This is quite possibly the coolest truck you’ll see all day. Images of this beauty have been whirling around the internet for well over a year, but with very little information available. A quick peek at the decal on the door of the truck leads us to Afrika Offroad, a protracted expedition previously based out of a Land Rover Defender and piloted by German couple Sonja and Jan Gehler. This new platform, built on a Bremach T-Rex, is an impressive beast of a thing. With seating and accommodations for four, this new vehicle was fabricated with assistance from expert designer Marcus Haase.

The interior is elegantly simple (photos are scarce) with efficiency being the main design driver. Knowing it will be the living quarters for four adults, storage space was clearly a primary concern. The 200 liter fresh water storage tanks have their own filtration and hot water systems, and high wattage solar panels provide the additional power needed for a larger group of travelers. The unique forward pop-up section accommodates two sleepers in an elevated loft, and the aft pop-up adds additional height above the vehicle’s galley and shower. It’s impressive from all of its many angles.
