Warn Industries Expands its Ascent XP Bumper Lineup—Updates its Multi-Mount, Adds New Plow Application

Warn Industries continues to expand and update its products and is now offering three new applications to its line of rugged Ascent XP bumpers, has updated its versatile Multi-Mount portable winch mount, and added a new plow for Can-Am ATVs.

The Ascent XP front bumper is intended for truck buyers who want “the aggressive style and rugged protection of a one-piece welded steel bumper, but do not need to mount a winch.” Contrary to belief, a winch is not necessarily essential to overlanding. In my experience most travellers argue against them, instead pointing out there are other, less heavy, ways to get out of trouble. Consequently, it’s very cool to see a non-winch option in the Warn lineup. This heavy-duty bumper has one-piece construction and is made from 11 gauge and 1/4-inch steel for extra front-end protection. The Ascent XP also features a built-in slot for a 30-inch light bar and dual light ports to mount auxiliary flood or spot lights. The bumper is further reinforced with a welded-on “Baja style” grille guard tube. The Ascent is now available for the following vehicles: 2019-current RAM 1500, 2018-2020 Ford F-150, and the 2021 Ford F-150.

Warn has also updated their Universal Multi-Mount Kit, a versatile product that allows users to mount a winch up to 10,000 pounds in a portable tray that can be moved between the front and rear of the vehicle or completely removed. The mount is constructed of durable steel, with a black powder-coat finish, and is predrilled to mount a wide range of Warn winches: Zeon 8, Zeon 10, 9.5xp, XD9i, XD9, and older models such as the M6000, VR8, or VR10). The winch is a recovery accessory we’re used to seeing on the front of vehicles, but depending on the situation, this is not always ideal. The Universal kit means you can seamlessly relocate the winch to the rear of the vehicle if winching out backwards is a better option. This product has been updated and is now manufactured with 2-inch stock tubing to reduce slop and improve its use with Class III 2-inch receivers. Additionally, the latest generation includes Quick Connect Wiring for the front of the vehicle (rear wiring is sold separately), which makes switching the winch between the front and rear seamless.

Finally, Warn now offers a Center-Plow Mount for Can-Am Outlander owners looking to move some material. It’s manufactured using 3/16-inch steel and powder coated to provide maximum strength and corrosion resistance. It will allow Warn Center-Plow systems to be mounted to the Outlander for maximum plowing capability.
