EarthRoamer Releases F-750 based XV-HD

For the last few years, pictures of a gargantuan concept EarthRoamer have been floating around the Internet. They were enough to get everyone excited, but as time passed many of us began to wonder if the brand’s largest undertaking would ever come to fruition. Well, this morning they put our fears to rest. Just over an hour ago EarthRoamer unveiled their latest, and arguably greatest truck yet: the XV-HD. Based on the Ford F-750 platform and designed to accommodate six people comfortably, this off-road behemoth is designed to be “…the answer for those looking to explore the backcountry without sacrificing space or amenities.”

While I wouldn’t be able to describe any EarthRoamer as small, the XV-HD seems to have made its purpose in life to be big. Lets look at some of the stats: 115 gallons of fuel, 46-inch Michelin XVL tires, 250 gallons of fresh water, 125 gallons of black water, 2100 watts of solar power, and a 20,000 watt-hour battery bank!

Then of course there’s the interior. The cab is adorned with King Ranch trim and Bose Surround Sound, and the camper features a full bathroom with a separate shower, washer/dryer, full kitchen with premium appliances, and in-floor radiant heating. With such options, they can’t afford to skip on the fit and finish either, so beautiful woods, stainless steel, and granite counters have been used to make it a true luxury escape wherever you go.

The XV-HD is powered by a 6.7L Power Stroke diesel motor, and runs on a beefed up four-wheel drive conversion to handle rough terrain. The suspension features hydraulic leveling, rear airbags, and Fox shocks to make the ride as supple as possible. Other off-road goodies include a 30,000- pound Warn Winch, an entire array of LED lights from Baja Designs, and so much more. GVWR is rated at a whopping 33,000 pounds, making this one of the biggest and baddest overland vehicles in existence.

Pricing will start at a cool 1.5 million dollars for each custom XV-HD, but don’t worry, the deposit is only $375,000 to get on the list. We’re sure you have that laying around.
