2019 Ford F-450 FX4 Platinum w/ Custom Flatbed & Nimbl Evolution Camper :: Featured Classified

Ford F-450 overland

I’ve lived on the road for the best part of 15 years, and for the most part I’m very satisfied with my overland rigs. However, I’ll forever be tempted by a full-size pickup with a fully equipped flatbed and camper, and today’s offering is one such example. This pinnacle rig is underpinned by an optioned-out, low mileage 2019 Ford F-450 (59,350-miles), which boasts the FX4 package, Platinum trim, a plethora of premium aftermarket upgrades, a custom flatbed, and is topped with a Nimbl Evolution camper. From the factory, the F-450 chassis, with its powerful Power Stroke diesel motor, generous payload, 4WD capability, and luxurious cab interior, is the ideal base for a full overland build, and this example has been reimagined from the ground up with top-tier upgrades. The original bed has been removed and replaced with a custom lightweight aluminum flatbed with large undermount lockable storage boxes (4), which ensures that tools, spares, camping gear, and other bulky equipment can be stowed away seamlessly and keeps the habitation clutter-free. This has been topped with an industry-leading Nimbl Evolution camper, which alone costs in excess of $100,000, and boasts four-season climate control, 80-gallons of freshwater with multi-stage filtration and on-demand hot water, a large lithium house battery system supported by 480-watts of solar, a fully-equipped kitchen, interior/exterior shower, dinette, and a cab-over queen-size bed. The Overland Collective has extensively field-tested this camper with both Senior 4WD Editor Graeme Bell and Executive Publisher Scott Brady singing its praises (learn more here). A complete truck, flatbed, and camper system direct from Nimbl would cost nearly $400,000, so today’s package is an impressive value at $220,000 (and is available now with no lead time). If you’re looking to take that big trip, transition to life on the road, or drive into the sunset for retirement, this is a fantastic turnkey option.

Nimbl Evolution From the Seller:

“After owning a 2017 EarthRoamer LT, we decided to go with a lighter build that would be more compact, versatile, and capable of performing everyday tasks such as hauling and towing. This is where the 2019 Ford F-450 Platinum and 2018 Nimbl Evolution/XP camper come into play. We decided to add the Any Level Lift 0-13-inch kit with King Off-Road coilovers to increase the platform’s versatility. With just the touch of a button, the truck is capable of going from (stock ride height) 0- to 13-inch in a matter of seconds via the hydraulic lift. This platform sits on Stazworks 20-x11-inch beadlock wheels with Goodyear G275 MSA 335/80R20 tires. The Nimbl Evolution camper is mounted to a custom-built 121-inch lightweight aluminum flatbed with large undermount storage boxes.”
