Watch Desk to Glory’s Why We Overland Season 2 Today

When Season 1 of Why We Overland driven by Mobil 1 wrapped last year, Desk to Glory’s Ashley and Richard Giordano were traveling deep into the Moroccan Sahara in search of shifting dunes and elusive solitude. As ever, the globe-trotting Canadians found a little bit of both with some big surprises along the way. At the wheel of their 2008 Toyota Tundra TRD Off-Road equipped with an OEV Alpine Camper, Rich and Ash are always open to whatever the road and the day throw at them. As we will discover in Season 2, life isn’t always a slice of pie, and the Giordanos must tap into their deep experience to adapt to the very real risks of adventure travel. That said, sometimes a little bit of pie does come their way—and coffee, always coffee.

In this season of Why We Overland, Richard and Ashley travel in their Tundra from Morocco, through the Alps and the Balkans, to eastern Türkiye. They move slowly through these diverse regions, eating, drinking, driving backroads, hiking at every opportunity—and get evacuated by helicopter at least once. The plan is to get to Central Asia, but as usual, the experiences en route are just as memorable as the final destination.

From the very real ghosts of conflicts past in mountains of Bosnia to snow storms in Greece to rugged passes in Anatolia, we see both the history and even a little bit of the future of these unique cultures through the always thoughtful Desk to Glory lens.

New episodes will be released every Tuesday on the Expedition Portal YouTube channel, beginning with Episode 7 – Morocco Part 2 | Why We Overland: To Celebrate Nomadic Culture, which goes live today at 4:00pm MST.
