As of the end of August 2025, Toyota had sold roughly 58,000 units of the 2025 4Runner in the United States, with 13,423 of those sold in August alone. Its popularity places it alongside other well-regarded off-road vehicles such as the Jeep Wrangler and Ford Bronco. Given this strong demand, it is unsurprising that aftermarket manufacturers are expanding their offerings with accessories designed to enhance the capability and performance of an already proven Toyota platform.
Expedition One has announced the release of its first line of accessories designed specifically for the 2025 sixth-generation Toyota 4Runner. The company, long recognized for its specialized off-road components, has developed a series of products designed to enhance durability, customization, and performance for drivers seeking to take their vehicles off the pavement.

The launch represents the first phase of what Expedition One plans as a comprehensive lineup for the new 4Runner. Available now are a winch mount with an optional hoop, heavy-duty rock sliders, a modular roof rack system, and rear bumpers featuring dual swing-arm carrier systems. Full-width front bumpers are scheduled for release later in the year, with availability beginning in November 2025.
The timing of the release aligns with Toyota’s rollout of the sixth-generation 4Runner, which brings updated powertrains, advanced technology, and a continuation of the model’s established reputation for reliability. Expedition One has tailored its new products to complement these features, ensuring that owners can extend the vehicle’s off-road performance without sacrificing design or function.
President of Expedition One James Fonnesbeck noted that the company views the release as a continuation of its mission to serve the needs of adventure-focused drivers.
“We’re thrilled to bring this new generation of products to market, empowering 4Runner owners to push their vehicles further into the unknown. Our focus has always been on blending superior craftsmanship with user-centric design, and this release exemplifies that commitment.”
Among the products announced, the winch mount is designed to integrate seamlessly with popular winch systems. Constructed from high-strength US-sourced steel, the mount affords a strong foundation for recovery operations in remote or rugged terrain. The optional hoop provides added protection for the grille and headlights, striking a balance between functionality and a streamlined appearance.

The rock sliders are another key element of the release, offering body-mounted protection for the 4Runner’s rocker panels against impacts from rocks and debris. Drawing design inspiration from similar components developed for the Toyota Sequoia and Ford Bronco, Expedition One has created a product that increases ground clearance while remaining easy to install. The sliders feature a bolt-on design and incorporate non-slip step surfaces for improved safety in wet or muddy conditions.

The company’s Sam-style roof rack system has been engineered with aerodynamics and utility in mind. The rack maintains a low profile to minimize wind drag while maximizing cargo capacity. It supports a wide range of accessories, including lighting, rooftop tents, and gear mounts, and offers adjustable crossbars with multiple tie-down points to suit extended travel.
The rear bumpers in the release are notable for their dual swing arm carrier systems. These systems allow for the mounting of spare tires, fuel cans, and other essential gear while still providing clear access to the tailgate. Independent arm operation ensures flexibility in use and enhances departure angles when navigating technical off-road terrain.

To complement the bumper system, Expedition One has also introduced a backup camera relocation option. This feature allows drivers to maintain complete rear visibility even when larger spare tires or additional cargo are mounted. The relocation setup integrates with the company’s established camera relocation design, preserving safety and convenience in everyday use and during extended expeditions.
All components in this initial release are manufactured to Expedition One’s established standards, using CNC precision-cut steel and American-made materials for structural integrity and durability. Customization options, including powder-coat finishes, modular add-ons, and integrated lighting packages, are available, enabling owners to tailor their vehicles to their specific needs.
Pre-orders for the accessories are currently available through Expedition One’s website and its network of authorized dealers. Shipping is scheduled to begin in October 2025.
