Overland News: DV8 Offroad Launches New Series of Winches
The first of the series is the Xtract 12K rope winch, which features an 80-foot, 12,000-pound rated synthetic line. A built-in wireless remote solenoid provides a 150-foot working distance, while a backup 12-foot wired remote ensures the winch will work in any situation. Constructed from heavy-duty steel mechanical components and an aluminum body, the Xtract also includes an aluminum hawse fairlead. Brand Manager Brandon Miller notes that during the development of the Xtract 12K, the DV8 team “dissected a lot of competitors’ winches to come up with a product that was budget-friendly and has all the features that are required while off-roading.”
