2022 ADV Mobil PROLander :: Premium Feature Vehicle

Ford F-550 ADV Mobil

Working at Overland International, I’m fortunate to see thousands of premium adventure-ready vehicles, but today’s ultra-low mileage (20,275 miles) 2022 ADV Mobil PROLander is exceptional. Whether traveling long stretches of highway, exploring forestry roads, or navigating technical terrain, this ADV expedition truck will allow you to do so in plush climate-controlled luxury. Once you reach your off-grid destination, you can stay for extended periods thanks to a bespoke luxury interior, huge amenities, and redundancy built into all systems. The PROLander is the company’s most desirable model and is “engineered to outperform the EarthRoamer;” whether you’re planning short-term domestic trips or global expeditions, this overland behemoth is ready to make your dreams a reality. This is not simply a proof of concept, it has served as a full-time four season rolling home since 2022. In fact, it was such a transformative experience for today’s sellers that they have since joined the ADV team. Consequently, this truck is being routinely maintained and tested in-house by ADV engineers, which in turn has meant the truck has remained in a constant state of improvement and fine tuning.

The PROlander is underpinned by one of the pinnacle expedition truck chassis, a 2022 Ford F-550 Super Duty Lariat Crew Cab, which was optioned out from the factory, and then extensively modified from the ground up for rugged exploration. This full-size platform is topped with a no-expense-spared, fully equipped four-season-ready Boxmanufaktur box, which seats 6 and sleeps 4. Highlights include a huge lithium power system, 87 gallons of freshwater with dual-stage filtration, climate control (with air conditioning, thermostat controlled furnace, and underfloor heating), a large bathroom, galley kitchen, and a U-shaped dinette that converts to a queen-size bed via a pneumatic lift. The interior is more akin to a luxury apartment or yacht than an expedition truck; whether it’s the marine-grade components, Cambria quartz countertops, white-wash maple cabinetry, stainless steel accents, or the soft touch Crypton Essentials upholstery, the attention to detail is outstanding.

Luxury expedition vehicles such as this are often the best part of a million dollars, which makes today’s rig an incredible value. I’m not at liberty to disclose the reserve price at this stage, but I can share that whoever wins the Bring a Trailer auction will secure this vehicle at a fraction of what it would cost to recreate. This is an opportunity to break free of the shackles of modern life and start an exciting new chapter. It’s worth noting that after the initial investment, an expedition truck is a cost effective lifestyle since they’re not dependent on the grid, and when buying pre-owned, you’ll generally recoup the majority of your investment when you sell. Finally, writing up this feature, I’ve gotten to know today’s sellers, and they’re real travellers and wonderful people. To this end, if you have any questions about the rig, I encourage you to reach out to them. If you’re in the market for a premium expedition vehicle, this is your chance to skip the wait list and hit the road this summer in an apex build at a bargain price.

Bid during the Bring a Trailer auction starting May 15th at 15:00 EST.

If you’re serious about buying, you’re welcome to visit the ADV Mobil shop for a personal tour of the rig.

From the Seller:

“In April 2022, we sold our home—and most of our belongings—to pursue a simpler, more intentional way of life. By June, we hit the road full-time in a multi-purpose expedition vehicle we designed and built with ADV Mobil. For nearly two years, this rig has been more than just a tiny home on wheels. It’s been our mobile office, adventure rig, and everything in between. We lived and worked full-time from the road, exploring the Mountain West and Southwest USA, often camping off-grid and embracing the freedom of life untethered. The layout made it easy to host friends and family—thanks to the outdoor kitchen and smart sleep setup—and we found real joy in everyday encounters, swapping stories with fellow travelers and curious strangers alike. Whether we were tucked away in the mountains or parked in a desert wash, this rig kept us comfortable, connected, and constantly inspired to explore more. Between trips, it was professionally serviced and maintained by ADV Mobil and certified Ford dealerships nationwide.”
