Jeep Introduces Special Edition 2025 Jeep Wagoneer Overland

Jeep recently introduced the new 2025 Jeep Wagoneer Overland Special Edition, emphasizing off-road capability, comfort, and technological advancements. This latest Wagoneer variant is specifically tailored to enthusiasts and families seeking rugged, overland-style adventures without sacrificing comfort or practicality. Limited to a production run of 2,000 units, the Wagoneer Overland Special Edition debuted simultaneously at the 2025 New York International Auto Show and the 2025 Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah, the iconic Jeep event.

Built to conquer relatively challenging terrain, the Wagoneer Overland features significant upgrades for off-road enthusiasts. These enhancements include aggressive 32-inch all-terrain tires paired with 20-inch aluminum wheels primarily to strike a balance between off-road capability, on-road handling, and overall vehicle aesthetics. The vehicle is equipped with Jeep’s Quadra-Drive II four-wheel-drive system, incorporating an electronic limited-slip differential (ELSD) and a two-speed transfer case capable of allocating 100 percent of engine power to either axle based on traction requirements.

Further enhancing its off-road credentials, the Wagoneer Overland employs Jeep’s Quadra-Lift air suspension system, providing up to 10 inches of ground clearance. Additionally, semi-active damping adjusts dynamically for improved comfort and control over rough surfaces. Three strategically placed steel skid plates protect vital components such as the front axle, transfer case, and fuel tank to ensure durability during off-road adventures.

The Wagoneer Overland offers multiple driving modes via the Selec-Terrain traction management system, including auto, sport, snow, sand/mud, and rock modes. The latter provides a notable 48:1 crawl ratio. The Selec-Speed Control system also assists drivers by automatically regulating vehicle speed on steep ascents or descents, allowing drivers to focus primarily on steering.

Safety and convenience remain central features. Standard equipment includes a comprehensive 360-degree surround-view camera, two front tow hooks, a removable rear tow hook, and Jeep’s Heavy-Duty Trailer Tow Package, which supports a towing capacity of up to 10,000 pounds. Moreover, standard features include advanced safety systems such as blind spot monitoring, rear cross-path detection, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, active lane management, and full-speed forward collision warning with active braking.

The Wagoneer Overland Special Edition distinguishes itself visually with a black-painted roof—a first for Wagoneer trims—as well as black exterior highlights, including wheel flares, lower fascia, a grille, headlamps, and badging. Roof rail crossbars and a tri-pane panoramic sunroof further complement its appearance. Inside, occupants are treated to luxurious Nappa leather seating, a spacious three-row layout (with optional eight-passenger seating), tri-zone automatic temperature control, practical features like all-weather floor mats, power-folding side mirrors, and a wireless charging pad.

Technology is at the forefront of the Wagoneer Overland, featuring a prominently displayed 10.1-inch Uconnect 5 NAV touchscreen. This advanced system incorporates Jeep Connect services, providing customers with three years of remote features such as engine start and door lock operations. After the initial three-year trial period of Jeep Connect services, customers typically have the option to continue using these remote functions, such as engine start and door lock operations, by subscribing to a paid service plan. If customers decide not to renew, access to these remote connectivity features will expire, and these specific remote functions will no longer be available. However, basic vehicle functions and the standard operation of the Uconnect system itself would remain unaffected. Jeep usually provides subscription renewal details and pricing information closer to the end of the trial period. Additional connectivity includes Jeep’s App Marketplace, which offers downloadable apps such as Geocaching and The Dyrt, alongside various digital entertainment options that are accessible while the vehicle is stationary.

New for 2025, Wagoneer 4×4 models introduce the Jeep Off-Road Pages+ with Adventure Guides. Developed in collaboration with Trails Off-Road, this built-in application offers users a two-year trial of over 200 off-road trail guides, complete with downloadable maps, detailed difficulty ratings, and the highly regarded Jeep Badge of Honor trails. An optional All Access membership further extends access to thousands of trails across North America.

From $ 59,945 MSRP (excluding a $2,095 destination charge).
