Ford F-350

The F-350 is a great option for overland travel. Recent expedition-ready builds include this 2004 with a Cummins conversion and Bison Overland camper, 2008 Tiger Bengal, and 2015 XLT with an XP Camper V1. This legendary full-size pickup cut its teeth in the commercial sector, but it was soon adopted for overlanding due to its rugged dependability, 4WD capability, interior refinement, and generous payload and towing capacity. With the support of the aftermarket, these pickups are being transformed for backcountry travel with desirable builds showcased by Tactical Application Vehicles, Freedom Overland, and GCI Traytec. Today’s 2016 Ford F-350 XLT (36,850 miles) showcases the FX4 package, tasteful modifications, and is topped with a Four Wheel Campers Raven. Further still, at $51,000, it represents impressive value for a turnkey, low-mileage, full-size overland rig.

From the Seller:

I chose this setup to explore the places I wanted to visit in the States. The low-profile and lightweight camper has everything I need to be comfortable and can be set up in a few minutes. The air conditioning can be used off-grid via the 2,000-watt inverter generator included in the package. The F-350 is comfortable on the road and capable off-road. The super cab has a shorter wheelbase, making it easy to maneuver and park. I made about six solo trips of about 4-6 weeks [duration] visiting some amazing places. All trips were before the pandemic. I haven’t made any long trips since 2019, as I’ve had major vision changes since then, and I’m not comfortable driving at night anymore. Everything is functional and well maintained.”
