2013 Nissan Frontier :: Classifieds

Nissan Frontier

We’ve featured a number of overland-ready Frontiers, including this 2002, 2019 with a custom camper, and 2017 Pro4x. This unsung hero featured in our Overland Truck of the Year :: The Best Midsized Pickups with Publisher Scott Brady concluding that Nissan has “somehow risen above the petty brand rivalries and produced one of the most durable, capable, and best-value midsize trucks on the market … “the Frontier is both comfortable and competent on the trail and feels well-suited to the task.” Despite showcasing fabled Japanese build quality and desirable backcountry attributes, the Frontier has not been adopted by the overland community to anywhere near the same extent as the Tacoma. This does mean that you can pick up this low-mileage (31,600 miles), adventure-ready 2013 Nissan Frontier for just $24,900, which is a considerable savings over a similarly-equipped same-year Tacoma. It’s a favorite with the Overland International team which is why it was chosen as an Expedition Portal Build and discussed at length on the Overland Journal podcast. From the Seller:

The original owner had the truck built. I’ve owned it for about three years and it has been flawless. I’ve not yet taken it off-road, only dispersed camping and skiing. Tested high and low 4WD in the snow with great success. It’s quiet on the freeway, even with the racks and tent. Drives straight and everything works. The only reason I’m selling the truck is because I am shopping for a large overland vehicle and need to sell multiple vehicles to make it happen.”
