The E-350 4×4 is a fantastic option for overlanding and is one of the most popular vans on our forum. Recent adventure-ready examples include this $127,000 2010 Sportsmobile, $95,000 2006 with a Stahl Service Body, and $65,000 2004. Comparatively, today’s 2010 Ford E-350 with 130,000 miles, a U-Joint 4WD conversion, premium modifications, and a camper interior is a bargain for $54,000. That’s an impressive value when you consider the 4WD conversion and engine upgrades alone come to $30,000. Further still, it’s half the price of a comparable Mercedes Sprinter 4WD camper and arguably more capable. The camper interior is simple but functional and would make a great starting point to build out your dream rolling home. If you’d like some additional inspiration, check out these drool-worthy builds from the Driving Line, U-Joint Offroad Colorado, and Michaelrossssss.
From the Seller:
“Depending on your overlanding experience and travel style, I can say this rig has been fantastic at vanlife. It is not as luxurious as a Sprinter or Sportsmobile, and nowhere near the cost. This rig has been fantastic and traveled from Mexico/Cabo/Baja/Canada and all Western states reliably. I have owned this E-350 for about 7 years and now have a new one I am starting to modify.”
2010 Ford E-350 4×4
The E-350 is fitted with a 6.0-liter Power Stroke diesel that, in stock form, produces 235 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque. This iteration of the Power Stroke did have some issues from the factory, but today’s example has been largely bulletproofed with only a few items left to address should you wish to further increase the power. A well-sorted engine and drivetrain are mated with excellent capability thanks to a $22,000 U-joint Off Road conversion that uprates the Ford with 4WD, high and low range, manual locking front hubs, Dana 60 axles, 4.10 gears with a limited-slip rear differential, a Warn winch, uprated and lifted suspension, and more.
