Giant Loop’s annual ride returns for its twelfth year, June 1-4. Join the fun at Crane Hot Springs, Oregon, where Giant Loop has reserved the entire site. There are 600 riders already confirmed to attend. No wonder the Giant Loop Ride has become the largest dual sport and adventure motorcycle rally event in the state, and one of the largest in the USA. Any kind of motorcycle is welcome, and there are plenty of paved roads in the area for hours of dust-free fun.

“The Giant Loop Ride started as a customer appreciation meet-up with 40 riders,” says Harold Olaf Cecil, who started Giant Loop. “The intention has always been to showcase the magnificent, vast, remote beauty of our home state and to share the world-class off-pavement riding opportunities that represent our company’s roots and origins. Riders enjoy the experience so much that the GL Ride is now more than fifteen times its original attendance.”
“Riders travel from as far away as northern Alberta, Canada and Texas to join us, and this year we have riders from the east coast and Sweden coming,” Cecil said. Sweden is the home of USWE, the hydration pack innovator that purchased Giant Loop last year.
Free Demo Rides
Take a spin on a Harley-Davidson, Kawasaki, Royal Enfield, or Ural motorcycle, or an e-Moto from UBCO, Cake, or Zero when you’re not on your own machine. It doesn’t cost a dime, but riders must register in advance for the Giant Loop Ride. At least 40 vendors will be showing their wares, including Rev’It, Alpinestars, and Backcountry Discovery Routes. The list is long, so plan to spend some time checking out all the moto related companies, and maybe nab a freebee or two. And of course Giant Loop luggage and gear will be on display.
More Giant Loop Rally Days
To help everyone enjoy more of everything, this year’s rally is a day longer than previous events. More riding, more time for demo rides, more opportunity to meet new friends and talk motorcycles. The $280 Rider Registration includes camping, hot springs access, and a limited edition Giant Loop USWE riding jersey. GPS tracks, clinics, and presentations are also covered in the cost. Entertainment includes a showing of the new Oregon Backcountry Discovery Route documentary film. BYO popcorn.
Chuckwagon Chow

Veterans Ride Free
As part of its company mission to support veterans, Giant Loop provides no-charge registrations for veteran riders in conjunction with the non-profit Veterans Back 40 Adventures. The company also offers no-charge vendor space to other non-profit organizations, including Backcountry Discovery Routes, Public Land Stewards Bend and Ride My Road.
