Equipt Expedition Outfitters has recently announced the release of their latest product line, the Eezi-Awn Dragonfly awning. As the exclusive distributor of Eezi-Awn in the US, the company has once again cemented its position as an industry leader in high-quality vehicle expedition equipment.
The Dragonfly is a lightweight and user-friendly roll-up bag awning that offers 180-degree protection from the elements. According to the company, it can be set up in under a minute thanks to its self-contained aluminum framework that effortlessly rolls out and locks into position with a simple twist. The awning’s unique design also allows for a quick takedown that is equal in time to its setup.
The Dragonfly shares the same construction as Eezi-Awn’s popular Bat 270 and Manta 270 awnings. It boasts a waterproof 260-gram ripstop canvas panel, fully adjustable legs that are compatible with stakes, and a UV-resistant PVC cover made from the same material used on pickup tonneau covers.
Additionally, the awning’s forward leg is intentionally designed to sit slightly in from 90 degrees forward to avoid fouling against the front of your vehicle. The Dragonfly 180 awning, the larger of the two products, provides 95 square feet of shade, while its smaller brother, the Dragonfly Mini 180, provides 60 square feet of shade. Each system features lightweight construction and is available in beige and gray, and can be mounted easily on most roof racks on either passenger or driver side.
Equipt Expedition Outfitters has already begun taking orders for the Eezi-Awn Dragonfly product line; the company believes that the Dragonfly awning’s ease of use, durability, and adaptability will make it a popular choice among outdoor enthusiasts, overlanders, and campers alike. Eezi-Awn is a South African-based company specializing in rooftop tents, awnings, and roof racks for over 31 years.
