Overland Classifieds :: 2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road w/ Vagabond Drifter

If you’re in the market for a mid-size truck, the Tacoma TRD Off-Road (or TRD Pro) should be a top contender. I love many of the alternatives, and while my heart might be tempted by the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison or the GMC Canyon AT4X, I would know deep down that they weren’t Toyotas. I’m not saying these aren’t great trucks (because they’re both excellent), but after meeting so many satisfied Toyota owners on the road, I would think twice before buying anything else for remote travel. The TRD Off-Road Tacoma is by far the most popular variant on our forums. Recent examples include this 2018 with an Alu-Cab canopy camper, a 2013 with a custom camper, and a 2002 with a flatbed conversion. If you’d like a better idea of how this mid-size truck can be outfitted for vehicle travel, check out these featured Tacomas built by Expedition Overland and Badass Brunette. Today’s low-mileage (around 45,000 miles) example features the desirable Technology Package, premium modifications, and is topped with a lightweight Vagabond Drifter camper.
