There’s no better time to enjoy the desert than in the spring, and no better crowd to enjoy it with than Aether ralliers. The fun starts at 4:00 p.m. in Pioneertown, just off Highway 62 near Joshua Tree on Friday, April 29, 2022. Show up on two, three, four, or more wheels—the choice is yours.
Don’t want to ride alone? Consider joining a group drive or ride from the Aether office in Los Angeles. Find out when the convoys convene on the 29th by following Aether on Instagram at @aetherapparel or by email at info@aetherapparel.com.
But first of all, get your tickets to eat, drink, sleep—and ride! Each option below provides your choice of accommodation (Pioneertown Motel, Texino Sprinter Van, or camping) plus Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast and dinner, Sunday breakfast, and drinks for two people. Please note that all ticket sales are final.
Pioneertown Motel
$950-$995
Choice of king, queen, or twin beds (limit of two people per room). Includes two rally tickets.
Built originally as a place for movie stars of old Western films to lay their heads, Pioneertown Motel has been a spot for weary travelers since 1946 and recently underwent a total renovation. Space is limited.
Texino Van
$650-$750
Choice of Texino Venture or Texino Switchback Sprinter van. Includes two rally tickets.
Aether has partnered with Texino, so that you can rent a Sprinter van directly from Aether. Pickup will be Friday at Texino in Silver Lake (3021 Rowena Ave. LA, 90039), with the return on Sunday afternoon. Each van rental includes 300 miles.
Texino Venture: Built on the 144-inch Mercedes-Benz Sprinter platform, this van was designed with comfort, functionality, and simplicity in mind. Comes with an induction cooktop, mini-fridge, LED lighting, retractable awning, and remote heating and cooling system. Seats two and sleeps two.
Texino Switchback: The Switchback is built on the 144-inch Mercedes-Benz Sprinter model with an electronically operated Murphy bed and SCA pop-top. This model features intentional design, including an induction cooktop, stainless steel components, and a four-zone dimmable LED light system. With its flexible L-Track platform, you can load up a motorcycle, gear, or additional seating. Seats up to six, sleeps four.
Campsite
$125
Includes one campsite (tent not included) and one rally ticket.
Set up camp on the Pioneertown Motel property to enjoy a couple of nights under the stars. If you are sleeping two people to a tent, each person will need a ticket for the weekend.
Tickets are available here: AetherRally22
The rally crew will serve dinner on Friday, followed by a campfire and all the stories you want to hear or tell. But don’t stay up all night—there will be plenty to do on Saturday after a light breakfast. Group motorcycle rides will commence on both paved and unpaved roads, and 4WD excursions will depart for Joshua Tree.
You’re on your own for lunch, but Pioneertown will be alive with brand activations showing off the latest in motorcycling and overlanding trends. Partnering with Aether at this writing are Madre Mezcal, Texino Vans, Springbar Tents, and Long Beach BMW, with more to be named in the coming days.
Saturday night will get kicking with Madre Mezcal on the dinner menu, and another campfire will offer a warm place to relive your day with the new friends you’ve made.
Sunday brings another light breakfast, packing up, and fond farewells. Depart at your leisure.
